Today I wanted to share with you a really cool website that I wanted to share with you. I actually use it for personal reasons but can totally see how you would use it for business reasons.
When Anthony and I got married we really wanted to do e-vites (email invitations instead of paper invitations). We had heard horror stories from other couples where up to 50% of their invitations got lost in the mail, causing an insane amount of follow up for RSVPs. We also wanted to reduce costs, and our carbon footprint. So the first task we had was collecting everyone’s email addresses…. way easier than you think given we wanted to send around 180 invitations!
I checked out a bunch of sites and landed on a really great one that is FREE!
It’s called Postable and this is why we love it and still use it now!
⇾ we were able to generate a short URL to text or FB message to everyone requesting them to fill in an online form
⇾ the online form we created could be customized with specific fields
⇾ the online form was totally mobile friendly and took people 60 seconds to complete
⇾ the website is secure
⇾ we were able to export our lists into Excel or CSV file format
⇾ because we captured birthdays we now get a reminder when there is a birthday coming
⇾ we can have a physical birthday card sent via the postal service directly from the website with our own personalized message
⇾ it’s easy to request people to update their file when you know they have moved house
⇾ we look SUPER organized!
Here are some ways I think you can use it in your business:
⇾ you can do a mass mail out for holiday season cards, a flyer about your services or an event you may be holding
⇾ you can send birthday cards to your clients
⇾ you can export a report of cell phone numbers and with their permission, send a great promo code
⇾ you can easily reference someone’s spouse/travel partner/kids names
⇾ you can collect wedding anniversary dates in one click and know what anniversaries are coming up – great way to market the milestone ones with a trip!
⇾ you can mail Bon Voyage or Welcome Home postcards to your clients
As I mentioned earlier, the service is completely free to collect the info and export it. If you choose to mail cards via the service, the prices are reasonable and will save you a trip to the store or post office to buy a card and stamp, and hand-write it. Use promo code MRMW9LUJ at www.postable.com to earn yourself some credits.
So – if you choose to give this website a try for personal or business reasons, I’d love to hear from you. Drop a comment below!
